VERMONT FLOOD RELIEF

Photo of the extensive flooding at the Intervale Community Farm in July

Vermont was devastated by floods and many people lost their homes and businesses. Additionally, many of our local farms were completely submerged and lost all of their crops for the summer and winter seasons. Please join me in supporting VT Flood Recovery Efforts by donating time, money, or resources. This page contains a list of organizations raising money. It will continue to be updated. Please share additional requests for support and I will add them to this page.

Support the intervale community farm

The Intervale Community Farm is a magical place, and the people who are stewards of the farm are incredible humans. We get the majority of our food from this farm as proud members and year round CSA subscribers. As members of ICF, we love that we know where our food comes from, and that we are investing in our local economy. We are gifted an abundance of veggies, as well as strawberries, flowers, and herbs in the summer, and pick your own pumpkins in the pumpkin patch in the farm. Being a member is being part of a community, and we are devastated by the near total loss of all of the beautiful crops in the flood, and the profound impact on the livelihood of the farmers. This farm is a local treasure and we are committed to helping them rebuild. Please join us in donating labor and funds.

Thank you for supporting access to local foods and ensuring the longevity of the Intervale Community Farm. May all be fed. May we thrive by supporting each other. May we tend to the seed of hope with love and care and trust that it will blossom.
