Ayurvedic yoga promotes balance and enhances the lifeforce.

Yoga is so much more than exercise. My classes are energetically balanced for the time of day and the season for a therapeutic practice that is a "work-in," not just a workout. Classes incorporate philosophy, mindful movement, breathwork, mantra, and meditation and draw from various wisdom traditions, including Ayurveda, Shadow Yoga, Qi Gong, and Buddhism.

What can you expect from my yoga practices?

  • Therapeutic

Yoga is so much more than exercise. My classes promote yoga as a practice for life, with effective tools to promote connection to self, connection to community, and connection to the natural world. The practices are integrative and include mantra, breathwork, movement, energy balancing, philosophy, and self-reflection for a therapeutic practice that is a "work-in," not just a workout.

  • Seasonal

One of the three main causes of disease in Ayurveda is being out of sync with the rhythms of nature. I teach students to balance their practice with the seasons to improve health and appropriately manage energy.

  • Balanced

Yoga classes are designed to balance the nervous system so that students leave feeling grounded, centered, and vibrant. I teach students how to apply the wisdom of yoga to daily life to maintain balance and meet challenges with grace and compassion.
