Unraveling the Roots of Pain: A Neurosomatic Approach to Restoring Nervous System Resilience
Date: Friday, April 10th
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Location: Kula Yoga, South Burlington, VT
Cost: $27 ($17 for Kula members)
If you’ve been living with pain and nothing has really helped, you are not broken. The deep exhaustion, headaches, clenched jaw, tightness in your throat, irritation, short fuse, emotional flatness mixed with sudden spikes of frustration and overwhelm, inability to focus or think clearly, feeling wired but tired, and the pain you can't escape...they are not failures, they are signs that your nervous system is stuck in defensive mode and it doesn't know where the off switch is.
Your nervous system’s job is to keep you safe, and when it feels threatened, it becomes sensitive and protective. Lasting relief comes, not from fixing the body or masking the symptoms, but from attuning to safety so your nervous system can finally turn off the alarm.
In this interactive, experiential workshop we will use reflective exercises and embodied, neurosomatic practices to:
attune to safety
replace danger cues with positive sensory input
build your capacity to engage with your life from a place of presence rather than protection
You will leave with clarity about what your nervous system needs to get unstuck, and you will have simple tools you can use to create new neural patterns and break free from the cycles of chronic pain, depletion, and overwhelm.
This workshop is open to anyone experiencing any type of pain and suffering, not just physical pain. No prior experience is needed. Please bring a notebook and a pen for reflection.
